I have a two-horse trailer with a removable divider. I will be leaving for a three day trip this weekend, and I am wondering what the best way to transport my horse is. I can make the trailer into a box stall, or I can leave the divider in place. I have heard conflicting opinions on this issue - I know that some horses like to be trailered backwards; I also know that some lean on the dividers as well.
I asked my vet, and she said that if I can make a box stall, then I should.
I will not be driving straight through - I will travel for 3 days, 8 hours each.
Opinions?
