This is the best stuff ever.

I just wanted to share my devotion to this product.
Gall Salve, Wound Cream, Bickmore Health Care
Sometimes it is impossible not to get a galled spot on a horse's girth. If they are fat or if your cinch is old or stiff, sometimes it only takes a few minutes of work to rub a sore somewhere. Even if you are a perfectionist about making sure that your tack is in tip-top shape and adjusted perfectly, they will still gall sometimes. That is why I absolutely love this product. If you notice a galled spot on your horse, all you have to do is apply it to the gall before and after working them. Instead of the gall getting worse or taking weeks to heal, it will heal in days (and you don't have to miss out on days that they need rode). It was designed for working harness horses that didn't get a week off just because the collar rubbed a spot on their shoulder. They designed it to protect the gall while the horse continues to work. It even says on the canister "Be sure to work the horse".

Anyway, I just wanted to share this product and how completely awesome it is.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Good to know! (At the rate I've been riding lately, none of my horses are in danger of galls. . .but, I'm hoping to spend more time in the saddle soon!)

That is so awesome! I will get some Smrobs. I bet it works good just for general wounds as well that need a tough coating on them.

Sweet!

Spent a whole hour today laying in a pasture, waiting for a sparkling vampire to show up. Alas, I woke up and looked over, only to find a mound of horse crap. Sigh.

This would have been great a couple years ago when we were battling Wildeys galls! All we could do in the end was keep his girth area clipped and use a shaped girth, and wash it reallllly well.

This would have been perfect!
