BL Solution

What's everyones take on it?

Anyone find it effective? What did you use it for?

Im searching for an alternitive for my navicular mare. She's on glucosamine sulfate and gets bute as needed. I've only buted her about 3-4x this winter, so it wouldnt replace bute. I've used BL before for short durations, but never long term for a chronic issue. Its pretty cheep so it might be worth a try. I do know it will test, not an issue, as I don't ride or even show her.

I think the bottle says something about that it can't be used in conjunction with any NSAIDS. I may need to call the manufacturer see how I should deal with that. I'd be a little worried if I had to wait more then a few days after using BL to bute my mare, if she really needed the bute.

Hi,

Don't know what BL is sorry. Have you looked into different ways of trimming & managing her to attempt to correct the problems, rather than conventional palliative methods? In case you haven't, hoofrehab.com is one great resource for learning the principles & factors of hoof health & what you can do to correct problems. Not that it can help every case of course, but def worth learning about. If not appropriate for this girl, to avoid/correct probs in others.
