Question Blanket for 17 m/o filly??

I have a 17 month old TWH filly. She is underweight, but not extremely skinny. We live in Oakland, MD (Garrett County) so it can get pretty cold out here. My horses are turned out 24/7 with some trees and a run-in shelter. I would like to get a blanket for her to be sure she's warm when it's really cold, but I'm not sure what weight would be best. My biggest concern is when it's rainy and cold. Any advice?

Not only do I love the quality of these blankets for the price, I love the durability and fit. Look at their warmth and fit guides to figure out which one is best for your horse.

What I did was, I got my horse 2 blankets. 1 medium/heavy weight (250g fill) for when it's in the ''teens'' at night, or it's snowing, and I got one with no fill for when it's in the 30's and raining. He doesn't have a run in, but he's got lots of evergreen trees surrounding the border of his pen, and trees to stand under. I'd say get your horse a 200-250g fill blanket. Make sure to give her plenty of hay in the winter, and maybe put her on a weight supplement for now. Hope this helps (:

make sure you get the right size, and that it's waterproof!
