Bowed tendon

Friend of mine is looking at an ottb gelding that bowed a tendon while on the track. Seller is selling horse as sound and the bow as totally healed. I am curious what type of career a horse with a bowed tendon can expect? I told my friend to make sure to get a PPE and I hope she does. She is mostly a weekend warrior that trail rides but she likes to jump logs and gallop while on the trails too.

The arab gelding I ran for awhile had an old nasty bow as did his half sister and most of the arabs in his family. They all have conpeted in long endurance rides and/ or ran.heavily in gymkhaba he either AA-AAA however my gelding waz developing arthritis in his hocks. So if they are healed correctly and have proper lwg protection for higher impact sports most do just fine.
