Bowed Tendon

Now I know Chanti has some damage to her superficial and her deep digital flexor tendon in her right foreleg. For the past several days I have been cold hosing it for 10-15 minutes and applying liniment. It has some slight puffiness along that tendon and some slight heat from right at the back of her knee down to her fetlock joint. I'm not sure when she injured it exactly but it could have been when she stumbled bad in the pasture. I didn't realize it was her tendon until a week ago, before then she indicated the pain was above her knee so that's where I was focusing the hosing and liniment but then I felt the slight puffiness and heat.
I don't have any wraps but I had wanted to get some standing wraps for her. Hubby says I can order them in a week:roll: but she already seems to be doing better. She still limps but not as bad. She hasn't done any trotting. She's still careful with it but getting around much better. Her leg is only slightly puffy, you have to know it's there to notice it but I plan on giving her several months off. If she gets worse I'll have x rays done to rule out other issues but since she's improving I'm going to keep on with the hosing and the liniment and will order wraps for her.
If I have to I'll fence off the barn and put her on stall rest but that's a last resort because she'd be standing in mud non-stop but it's the only place we have.
