Brush hogging MILKWEED?

My BO wanted me to make this post. She has 100's of milkweed in her pasture where the horses graze. If she brush hogs the pasture, will the cuttings of the milkweed harm the horses? Secondly, how should she manage this pasture?

You can't just cut the milkweed down and call it good. You have to pick it all up and burn it. Cutting it will just spread seeds about. If you can ( and I know this is alot of work ) dig them up and burn them. If alot of them cut them by hand pile and burn. BURN being the key. Digging and burning is the best way to remove them pesky plants.
