I'm working on it but NOT if I'm not there. He's not safe for other people yet and that's exactly what I don't want is someone getting hurt. Today the farrier had his 5 year old daughter out at the barn with him and after I was done riding Sammy I gave her a pony ride on him. He didn't shake or stumble or anything and she was so excited and happy and gave him lots of love. She even helped me untack him and he didn't even bat an eye so I think we're getting better with strangers. She was a very confident little girl though. On Tuesday I'll have a few more people at the barn and I'll have all ages to work with him.

Our BO had another person bring Solon in from his turn out pasture recently and he got so nervous about the way she was handling him, he just booked and ran back to his pasture to wait for the BO to get him. Luckily the woman didn't get hurt but he just wasn't sure of her. I asked the BO from now on, only people Solon knows really well and she agreed. If I'm there I can start working with him more about other people. I know what you mean about wanting to be there.

Unless it weighs a ton... it's just a horse. Draft horse motto.

Poor guy. When I'm not there I trust three people to handle him because I know if he tried something they're experienced enough to deal with it. Other than that I need to be close by or one of the three people I trust with him.
