Very good choice. I know you like the horse, but trust me after lots of money and many days of going out ready to ride and you can't b/c your horses feet hurt, will turn you off quickly. Not only that but the other thing I noticed was that his hoofs kind of slope out, which indicate to me he has possibly founderd in the past. The ring of growth if concerns me. It is good yes, but when you have a ring or bump in the hoof such as what he has, points to some sort of damage done.
And this is for desperate house wife:
White or black hoofs make no diffrence, my cremello's feet are much stronger than my bay horse who had black feet. I have also heard that it make no diffrence from many a farrier. It is a myth. :)
