Arrow Changing Climates

Hello everyone!

I have been living in the Los Angeles area for a little over a year now for school, and have *really* been missing my horse. So, long story short, my mom has a agreed for my 21st birthday to have my horse moved out here from Colorado (my home! I miss it so!).
I found him a beautiful new place to live, but it's in Agoura Hills, which is hotter than BLAZES right now at a whopping 101 degrees in September! Who knew that it could be SO hot somewhere going into fall?! Back home, looking at, it's 65 and raining. It should be snowing there in another month.
My question is, I know it will be hard on my horse to change climates, I mean it would be hard on anyone! He's going to be pasture boarded, like he is back home, and so it will probably really affect him. Is there anything I could do to make the transition easier? He's 11, so he's not old or young, so I assume he'll be okay, but I just want the best for my baby!

:) Thank you for any input!

That's a very grungy photo of my boy :)

I would think he'd be fine... just make sure he has shade and plenty of fresh water.

Take it easy on him til he aclimates to the heat
