Chiropractor Visited - Amber was very crooked

I got Amber back in November right before I hurt my back, she sat without being ridden for a few months because I couldn't ride. In April she started professional training, and did 2 months of it. Then I started riding her, but I noticed she was a bit sore, and didn't like moving to the right (something the trainer failed to mention) So after searching for a good equine chiropractor for a couple weeks I finally found one. Dr. Marla came out today and it turns out Amber was incredibly crooked, her whole spine from right behind her head to her tail was all out of alignment. Poor girl!

Dr. Marla adjusted her, and amber loved it! She was licking and chewing and so relaxed, she loved it! The Dr. Gave me some great bending exercises to do with her and said to take it easy riding her for a couple weeks cause she's not going to be used to being comfortable and going straight. I feel bad she was like this for so long but she didnt even show any signs of being sore until a couple weeks ago. I am really impressed with equine chiropratics! I think its great and that every should get their horses adjusted once in awhile, it really makes a difference!

I agree. Some horse owners are really skeptical of it...but I think because they want a "cure"...its more like an alignment for your car...not a medical necessity just routine maintenance that makes stuff work better.

Glad to hear your girl feels better.

Glad to hear the chiro worked for you. I SWEAR by my guy's chiro. At first I was really skeptical, was waiting for chicken bones to be thrown around or something, but the difference now is night and day! Good job having your horse adjusted :)
