He's been lethargic for a week or so, and flank-watching for maybe a fortnight
That does not describe the usual acute colic, but describes some other possibly chronic gastrointestinal problem.

Ulcers fit the description better than anything else.

Not necessairly... Walking doesn't do anything but wear you and your horse out. It's just important that your horse doesn't roll and walking helps with that.

It's part of the treatment protocol around here. *shrugs* Just another thing everyone does different. I've only lost one to colic, so something worked :)
