Maybe we could start increasing his turnout time, but keep him in while he eats since he's not one to stand up for himself and protect his food.
That sounds like a good compromise - Wefeed all ours in the paddock but that is only because they all get the same things, only different amounts! I'm lucky that my show horse is the boss - He gets more feed but will keep the others away from it.
