    Colic Relief and Recovery

My 20+ year old mare colicked this morning. She has been passing manure but very distressed. The vet came out and gave her Banamine, and said if she is passing gas and defecating she should turn around in a few hours. She feels better now, and before the vet came we had been walking her for a few hours. Now I have been sitting making sure she doesnt roll, but letting her lay as she is exhausted. How long until all of the symptoms go away? She has not eaten or drank yet. We were instructed to give banamine daily, what else can we do to help her?
