Could it be?

Yep it sure is. So Im 23. And Im dealing with my first case of strangles. So far so good. As good as strangles can go. I have the night shift tonight and tomorrow night. Just letting it run its course. But I would love everyones prayers. Itbus not my horse. But one that is dear to me. It is one of two babies on the ground of my mare who got shot. I do own the second baby. And this horse will always have a place in my heart.

Thank you. We are having the hardest time keeping her hydrated. Her temp is holding steady at 102.2. Which is high. But better than the 103.6 it was running earlier.

Thanks so much. About the only thing she interested in eating is her "alfalfa cube soup" which is good. Cause she's getting water that way.

Must be a very scary thing...it sounds like you are providing extremely attentive and thorough care! Prayers (certainly!) out to you!

Yea. We are pulling round the clock watch in shifts till she's over it. And the thing with strangles, other than trying to keep some sort of food and water in their stomachs and their temps under control. Theres not really anything else to do. But let it run its course.s
