    Cut from shoe! Eek!

    Hi everyone
Sheena cut herself with her shoe today, its a really tiny cut but it is swelling more than I would have thought. I hosed it with cold water, put salve on it, and put liniment around the cut...Any other advice???

    Thanks

Rinsing it with the cold water is excellent. Try to do this everyday until the swelling goes down. During summertime when the flies are terrible and one of the horses at the stables I work at has a cut, I put Swat around it. It's just a thick paste you can put around a cut, around the eyes, or on the sheath to keep the flies off. Icthammol works good as a medicine to put on it.
