de-worming, small paddock, keeping burden low, sharing with other horses

Hi a friend will drop off a horse tomorrow but he is going to worm it only that morning.

I have a relatively small paddock 1/4 acre (going to expand) with my horse on it. I'd say there is very few worms in it and her burden would be low. As she was clean when she came as was the paddock.

I don't know how wormy his horse is or is not but if it is then isn't he going to ruin my clean paddock?? I don't want that.

What can I do?

Are you boarding his horse? If you are, and he is paying you, I think its your responsibility to keep things clean the way you want it. If he's not paying you should ask that he helps clean. You probably should have addressed this to him before the horse came. Sometimes if you don't tell people how you are feeling or what your expectations are it will cause problems and you can loose friends that way. I would be upfront. Good luck

With a small turnout like that I would just pick it out daily :) doesnt' take long and I bet the friend would help you too.

I agree, pick the paddock daily. If your friend isn't paying you, or isn't paying much, they should help keep the paddock up.
