I have a horse that has recently been diagnosed with both a calcified suspensory ligament, and desmitis of the lateral patellar ligament. Do any of you have experience with either of these, and what are you doing to make them more comfortable or specifically what your horse respond to the best for either of these? I realize that a calcified ligament is irreversible, but besides sweating it to reduce fluid and inflammation, SMB boots, and providing a joint supplement to help prevent articular damage further down the road, any more tips? Right now though I am mainly concerned about his desmitis.
