My newer gelding came with his perscription of Dexamethasone 4MG Tablets. However, the directions say "Use as directed before." I have no idea how much was given to him, and I can't seem to get ahold of his old owner to ask. It's for allergies. His eyes are getting a little weezy, sometimes a little runny nose and mostly his gland between his neck/under his jaw is swelling. After he eats his meals, he seems to be very "blah" and sits there like he's almost having problems breathing (but he's okay). Anyone have any experience with this drug? I've been trying to look everywhere on how to give it to him, but all the internet it coming up with it Dexamethasone in liquid form and the dosage uses for that. He's a 16.1 Standardbred and in good health otherwise.
