    Smrobs,
I am sorry to hear about your horse Dobe. He sure is pretty.
At this time I am having some anxieties(sp) about my own horse and what is in his future as well. My horse is young too, 8 yrs old.
I am trying my best to just tay focused and reakize that some of these things are going to take time to get better.
    It just touches home...your saddnes,
I wanted to wish you all well and hope to hear some news soon!

Thank you everyone. Both the melanomas were removed completely and the vet stitched him up. He said that it looks good right now because there are no signs that any more are developing yet. I am supposed to take him back on the 19th to have the stitches taken out. So wish me luck. :)

Wow, that's rough, waiting and wondering what the future holds. He's really a beautiful horse. I can't imagine what you're going through right now.

Best wishes and good luck to you and Dobe.

So sorry to hear f his misfortune, but glad they were able to be removed fully! I hope our last visit goes well...he's a stunning horse! LOVE his color!

I can only sympathize and agree with what has already been said...live in the now and take the future as it comes. I have a mare that has health issues as well, her hip is partially fused to her spine. I know it's totally different, but it's knowing what will eventually be their downfall...for now she's on a bit of bute and runs fine with the 2 year olds we have so I'm happy for her...do what you can for him in the meantime and enjoy him!
