The Dreaded Bowed Tendon

Long story short, my horse has an minor/moderate bowed tendon. He came in from the field with it a few days ago, and for the life of me, I cannot understand how he did it, because he is a fit horse. I take conditioning seriously, for just that purpose; to not get leg injuries. But it happens, and it sucks, but you gotta live with it. My vet estimates he'll be out of work for 2 months. I'm supposed to walk him, put magnetic boots 12 hrs on, 12 off. I'm allowed to ride to walk him (but I probably won't for a while because I feel bad... /:) Anyway, when Doc was checking him out, my BO mentioned that he had BioScan and that I could use that and she seemed to agree. I just want to know, should I also buy the magnetic boots just in case? What are everyone's opinions with the BioScan vs good ol' magnetic therapy. I've never even heard of BioScan before today, so I'm all new to that, but definitely willing to try whatever I can to help my poor monkey of a horse.

Don't sweat it! My horse had a moderate bow as well. She was well conditioned (I too take conditioning seriously. Endurance rider's code), but sometimes stuff happens. Take a wrong step and there you go.

I never used magnetic therapy on my mare, so I lack personal experience. However, others I know have used the good old magnet and some swear it helps. You can't prove it either way, though. But if it can't hurt, it might help.

Never heard of Bioscan. What is that exactly?
