EI vaccination complications???

Does anyone here now of any adverse effects the EI vaccinations could have? I've heard that in some cases it can cause anaphylactic shock but not sure what kind of percentage that is. Im getting my horses done on tuesday and im just wondering about anything that may come from it

I would defintally do research on it... although the vaccine has been used over seas for many years, so its not like its a 'new' product. But I guess you have no choice, all horses have to be done anyway. They havnt brang it up Bundaberg way yet. But let us know how your horses respond...

Anaphylactic shock is a very rare side effect of most vaccines. The most common side effect seen with the EI vaccines are local swelling and soreness at the site of the injection.

Well they all got vaccinated and micro chipped today. Everyone did well. Jarred who I thought would be the worst, especially with the micro chipping, was the perfect angel, possum was indifferent and cougar, who I thought would be the best, was the worst lol but it still wasnt too bad

The vet said they shouldnt have too many side effects for the first one but they may get some with the booster they get in a month
