I am considering a career in equine chiropractic and massage and I was wondering what kind of demand there is in Alberta? Edmonton area as well. And questions for those who use or would like to use and equine chiro and or massage therapist.
What do you pay?
Would you use one if they were in your area? or willing to travel?
From my knowledge I don't know of many equine chiropractors in the Edmonton area especially west of Edmonton, but thought maybe others know of some.
I know that Sidonia Macintyre teaches both the chiropractic and massage therapy programs here in Alberta....
I took the massage therapy course from her last year and it was amazing. It was hard work but I learned so much and it was a lot of fun.
From the last few barns I have boarded at there has always been a demand for massages (cost about 50-75), and when the chiropractor comes out there's an even bigger demand...but I rarely see one at the barn.
In my opinion, I personally wouldn't travel to get a massage for my horse, but I do know some people that do.
I would totally go for it! I am in Southern Alberta and I was considering taking this career path as well, I still probably will (im pregnant) but there is ALOT of demand out this way for that work. People are just starting to really get convinced about this chiro work on there horses for lameness issues and such..as long as you are willing to travel, you will make a decent living!!
where and when can i take a coarse from this lady lol
