Eye Infection?

Hello :)
So there is a LOT of flies where I am now- it's cooling down, so they're all coming out -.-
Anyways, my mare has had terrible eye problems, resulting in ruptured retina that had to be stitched together, which is now much better. However, she is getting a little swelling on that eye, which worries me.

My gelding, Baloo, has got a pretty bad case- his right eye is really runny, and a little swollen.

I'm getting them both fly masks, keeping the fly spray close and I've also been told that washing the eye out with chamomile teabags might help.

Is there anything else I can to do relieve the irritation? Any advice appreciated :)
Thank you!

Green Broke
The last time my horse had a swollen irritated eye I called the vet.

What has your vet advised you to do?
