Eye problems in light blue eyes

I have a 4 year old Paint gelding with VERY light blue eyes. Anyways he has always seemed to have eye issues. He squints a lot when its bright and sunny, especially now that theres bright white snow. He also does not like shallow puddles or dark places on the ground. Has anyone ever had this problem before? Is there anything I can do for him besides a fly mask? I just hope nothings truly *wrong* with his eyes but I'm not sure with these symptoms. Any help is greatly appreciated!

A fly mask is your best option unless you have his eyes tattooed. Just like football players put black on their cheeks, the tattoo helps and helps prevent sunburn also.
