Smile farrier was out yesterday. Good news for Beau

I had the farrier come in yesterday to do Beau, he was there for other horses but, I had asked him to do Beau as well because, the farrier I was going to have come in has a history of messing up horses' feet.

Anyway, this farrier who did Beau's feet is a very well known farrier and even trainers suggest him. (i know the commas )

He said his feet weren't long but, did need a trim and the bottom of his hooves needed to be trimmed but, other than that they were in good condition. I asked him if he could check for laminitis, lameness, navicular etc... He checked and said nothing to worry about because, there is no sign of lameness, founder, laminitis or navicular.

The only thing is that he had a little bit of thrush in his front left and his back left. He cut the thrush out and did a wonderful job on Beau. He filed all his hooves down so they look amazing again and he even gave me something for the thrush and told me to put it on him once daily and in a week it should be clear.

Hearing that my horses' hooves are good has me very happy He said he'll see us in 6 to 8 weeks and the only thing we have to work on is reshaping his hooves because, they are all wonky and that he said should be with 1 more correct trimming

MyLuckyShoes.com - here's his website too so, you can see how well known he is and the amazing work he has done.

Yeah, those before and after pics make me cringe too but, he does an amazing job. I should have taken before and after pics of beau's feet. He's an amazing farrier though and he's so nice. He takes his time and makes sure everything is done right.

That's where the before and after pics are of the hooves he's done. I can't get any before shots of beau but, i'm going to get an after shot tomorrow when I go out to the barn.

I'll ask him when I see him in a couple of weeks. Actually, he should be coming back in 2/3 weeks to do another boarders' horse. I wonder if he was ever able to fix that.
