Feather mite

Have been advised by the vets to use frontline on his feather mite, does anyone have this same issue with their cob as this is common in heavy horses, just wondered if you do what do you use on your horse........ if anyone does use frontline what do you use as the spray can only be ordered through vets but they have to see the animal first so was thinking bout using the drops instead........................

My cob has got it quite bad, he don't stamp or anything like that and his feathers are massive so atm I have trimmed all the feathers, wanted to keep some as to protect him from mud fever, but I am using dermol shampoo on him to clear scabbing then to treat it.........

Thanks
