Feeding 3 mth weanling-suggestions wanted

I would like to hear from those of you who have had to feed a foal during early weaning.

I will be feeding bermuda hay and supplement that with a feed twice a day but want see what experience foal owners have had with feeds.

Any information is appreciated.

My weanling gets Triple Crown Growth - 1 lb per 100 lbs of body weight twice daily (5 lbs twice daily in my case) . O & A or T & A - usually 2 lb per 100 lbs of body weight (ends up being almost free choice) and they get it when they are in the stall. Turn out in small short grass pasture at night and in stall in the day.

He is a 6 month old halter colt and will be shown in a couple of months.

He is also on dac Colt Grower and dac Bloom. All of mine get dac 911 3 to 5 days before and after worming and anytime I am going to stress them (move or showing, etc....). You can search Omega Horse Solutions if anyone wants to see the write-ups.

We wait until 5-6 months old to wean. Before that they only get a tiny bit of feed and pick at mommas food and hay.
