Feeding Arrangements/How Much?

'Ello, everyone! Popping in, again. Not sure if there is a thread for this, if there is then please redirect it though my question may be slightly different?? Not sure.

Anyhow, I was wondering what do YOU guys feed your horses? Does it vary from season to season? Have you had to go through trial-and-error? (Such as "this grain caused my horse to colic, therefore forget this; this one is much better, and not to mention I get a shiny coat!"?) I'm curious because my mother and I have FINALLY found a horse that might be perfect for me/my level of riding. Of course if the horse is healthy, I'd go by what the owner was feeding her but just curiosity makes me ask.

Anyhow, just wondering on what you guys use for your own horses? Is there a set schedule, varying throughout the times of year (I'd suspect), and any other little tidbits you'd like to share about feeding time.
