Question Feeding Brewers Yeast with Pellets???

My friend suggested me to use Brewers Yeast on my mare that's hard to keep in good condition. She told me not to feed it with the pellets. Why?

My mare gets Pony Pellets, Chaff, sunflower seeds every morning and night. Also just at night she gets Equilibrium (vit. Mix)

Should I not feed her pellets at one feed and give her the brewers?

What's so bad about feeding them together??

Thanks.

And sorry if it made no sense... kinda to confused my self, don't even know what I'm saying!!
