Question Feeding hay/straw, overweight horse

I get a new horse in October. A fjord horse mare, 13 years old, not been trained the last couple years.
And she's fat. Very fat. Ideal weight would be 400 kg, but she weighs probably aroun 500 kg now. She had a foal this spring, and had founder a couple years ago.

I assume that when she comes to me, she comes straight from pasture.

Anyway, I've planned to feed her with oat straw and hay.
"Normal" fjord horses I've had, they've got 7-9 kg hay, but this one is fat.

So, how much hay, and how much straw should I feed?

And I'm sorry, my english is not that good, I know!

Hmm, in all of my books, it's recommended as a part in a horse's diet

Interesting. We only feed hay and grain out here.
