    Well it is getting to be that time of year again when the flies are going to come out and aggrevate the horses!! I spend alot of money every year on fly sprays I was wondering if anyone has a homemade mix?? Thanks a bunch, Jennifer

    I use this mix every year and it seems to work.
    Makes 2litres:
    6drops of citronella oil
    4tble sp surgical spirit
    4 tble sp vinegar
    1 pint cold tea
    1 tsp washing up liquid or tea tree oil
    Then add cold wather to make up to 2litres.

    The only one helped me (and I know number of people who also use it after trying bunch) is "Endure". Not for VERY long, but at least for several hours.
