We recently brought down a mare and foal, the foal would be about a month old or less. She's very friendly, but I'm rather concerned with her knee. It looks very swollen compared to the other knee, and when I touch it it is squishy, as though there is fluid sitting on her knee. We have not seen her be kicked, slip or trip, and she is not favoring it at all nor does it seem to hurt her if I push on it. If it does not go down soon I will be taking her in to the vet regardless to have her checked, but I was wondering if anyone has any clue as to what this may be?
