Pea gravel has rounded edges. I bought some a few years back bc I don't have enough$ to regravel my driveways, but from the cement walk to the garage it was muddying up, so I bought 3 bags and laid them down. I think I could walk across it barefoot. Just watch that they don't pick any up in a hoof.

I just put 400lbs of pea gravel in my horses corral. It covered the 4x4 area where she likes to Pee. No pun intended. It is rounded on the edges so it doesn't cut her foot.
