    foul water contamination

    Hi all, newbee here,
We have a neighbour dishcharging his washing machine into our field, we have 3 horses grazing all the time.

A few weeks ago our cob passed away, seemingly old age, 20 plus
Today our 24 year old is showing signs of mild colic/fatty tumor.the vets diagnosis.

Would the washing machine have contaminated the ground?

Could it be relevant to the death/colic?

    Should I inform DEFRA?

    Thanks in advance

    Ian

I know that detergents can be toxic to smaller household animals. Horses, I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me.
