found out why our horse died

well, as an upsate for all who read the post about the horse we had die on us after only 2 days of having him, and with no apparent reason as we could see. It had baffled us for a while, and we finally have an answer.

Blood clot

Apparently he had a blood clot that moved to his brain. This would explain why he stumbed around and didnt die immediately, etc.

*sigh* it sucks that it had to happen, but atleast now we know why. RIP Canvas Master.

That's terrible. Any idea how he developed the clot?

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

Very sorry for your lose With all the care we give our horses, it's always disconcerting to be reminded that there are so many things beyond our control.

i'm very sorry to hear about your loss, and glad that you at least got some answers. Clots can come on suddenly and sometimes with out reason, cause, or warning. What a tragic occurrence. My heart goes out to you.

Glad you have an answer - it sucks but at least you know for sure what happened.

never know... in the racehorse business lots of drugs are put into horses, it could have been something the guy who had im before us gave him, or just something that happened
