freaked about the indoor

It's Jan here in New York as well as everywhere else. I have a show coming up with my horse in an indoor and my horse doesn't really like them. The last show we went to was in the middle of December in an indoor and he freaked. Started sweating, pacing around, huffing and puffing, etc.... So i brought him outside the arena and just kinda walked him around and he was fine still snorting and huffing and puffing so I figured he doesn't like being in an indoor. So my question is how can I get him over this? I brought him back in after he relaxed and it just started again so we just ended up leaving so he didn't have to go through it again. I put his cooler on him when we got home b.c he was sweating bad but, he didn't work at all, we were just waiting for our class.

My question is.... Has anyone ever experienced this? How can I prevent it from happening or how is there anyway I can help him get through it?
