geldings urine is fire orange/red??

I was out checking the horses this afternoon and I saw that in my geldings side, he had very bright fire orange colored, almost red like urine in the snow. And beside it there was brown like coca cola urine in the snow. So I walked all around and saw two more spots of brown/red urine.

What is this??????

I had just put him in a different pen before noticing this, and he did just have a regular urine color within the last hour.

But im concerned about the red/brown urines?

My grandma said she saw our mare have brown urine in the snow a week ago, I never seen it as it had melted though.

Hehe it is the urine reacting wtih oxygen. You just don't see it on dirt. Does the same thing in a stall with shavings.

Totally normal. Horse urine often turns red in the snow.

I saw a thred on this a few days ago. I was so glad I did, because I would have been freaking out when I saw the "orange" spots in the snow.
