Good vet visit for spring shots!

Yesterday was spring shots day and it went really well I just had to share!
Vet came out, Gunnar got his 6month booster, west nile, potomic and strangles and the vet let me administer the vaccines! I know a lot of people are saying so what I do it all the time but for a 21year old giving shots for the first time on her first owned horse, it was a big deal! :) I didn't realize how easy it was! I won't buy them myself but from now on I'm going to be more hands on. If only he needed his coggins pulled she was going to show how to find a vein.
Other bit of good news, I always worry Gunnar is a little too pudgy..his nickname is Chunk or Chunkmeister. Its what everyone at the barn calls him. But I asked the vet to evaluate his body condition and she rated him at a 6. Said she likes between 5 and 7 :) He's perfect.
It calmed my fears because I REALLY put effort into researching nutrition and what he needs. I got some critisism for putting him on Gro'n win and vitaferm but I'm certain now that it's what is best for him. I'm just so happy I had to share.
