Hi, agree with others basically, esp Affored. If you're going to go for grain, oats are the most easily digestible for horses & *relatively* low starch. But I'd also avoid feeding grain in favour of a healthier alternative if possible. Also if you are feeding grain & such, it's even more important to feed little & often, rather than only 1-2 larger meals daily.

I heard back from my parents and they said that the vet took one look at Ruby and said that she isn't bred.
So thankfully that is off my worry list and I can jut work on getting her to a good weight and then trained.
