    Thank you ALL for your warm replies. I have lost some pets before, and I haven't felt half of the way I do right now. I can even say that some of my past relationships that have ended havent touched me this much.

    The past few days have taught me something. Ruby wasn't just a horse. She was a friend and a companion. She was more personable that some people I know!

    Even though all of this seems overwhelming, I do find a silver lining in this situation. It makes my glad, in a small way, to think that someone/thing came make me feel so bad - because in order to feel this bad - I had to feel equally good at some point in the past. ( I hope that makes sence...)

    All I know is, in the future, I can only hope to find half of the companion Ruby had been for me.
