Has anyone tried these? Better Bucket

I had a friend tell me about these and I am thinking of replacing all my buckets in the barn with them. They seem like they would be a good idea as I have several horses who are eating from the real deep buckets that have the two big plastic hooks and when they arch their neck to get the feed in the front they usually get upset and sling the buckets off the wall, or stick their hoof in them and rip it off the gate. Has anyone tried them and like them?

I like the idea, when I used the regular buckets Casey's jaw would always hit the edge of the bucket. But, now I use the shallow pans (specifically for salt) because the grain is more spread out and it slows down consumption. They are also a lot cheaper than other things, and in my experience last longer, and they also don't tip over.

I also have 5 I am feeding out of the shallow ground pans and no matter how "untippable" the company claims, they will find a way. I have one who eats about 3/4 of her feed and if I have failed to give her hay by then, will pick up her feed pan and throw it at me! Even put one that is a 3 gallon size and a 33inch mini will throw it at me. I thought with these I can hang them all up while feeding and, if they work like they claim, I won't have horses becoming upset from having to arch their neck at a weird angle to get the last of their feed.

Yep. I have one of these and love them. My horse gets all of his feed out. If I use a regular bucket he twists his neck sideways to get down into it and can't get all of the food. Looks painful! Lol My mare has a flat sided bucket right now, but I am going to get a better bucket for her as well.

I think its a really neat design! We don't use them because we mostly group feed, with shallow bowls for any suppliments- but I'd definitely give one a try if I ever needed a bucket.

The place I'm horse sitting at has a couple of them. They seem to work well.
