Well, it's great to hear that there are horse people out there who would contribute. I think I am going to try and get with some people showing at the National Western Heritage show here in Denver and see what they think as well. I know location would be an issue. I have the resources to get a non-profit status filed and done, so could offer donations as a potential tax write off. If I could find someone with an empty warehouse or barn that could be the central storage unit, I think it would be best. One day a week for a few hours we would open up and let people come and get a load. Applicants could apply on line and those who were approved would be notified of the day and time of pick up. This would rule out the "Joe" down the road who is not very bright and just has way too many horses and never had any money to feed them.

Any more comments would be greatly appreciated from all. I am serious about trying to get this started in my home state and then see where it goes.

Well to me it sounds like a good idea. The one thing I would do is have a set amount per horse and limit pepole to once a week. I know times are tight for alot of pepole and that would be awsome if you could get something like that started. I wish you the best of luck
