Help! Advice needed on leg injury.

I have a 16 yr old boy who 2 weeks ago got a piece of rope tangled on his hind legs, he kicked and subsequently burned the skin off both legs just above his hoofs. I have had him injected with antibiotic and anti inflammatory by the vet and am spraying a few times a day with aluspray. But due to the awkward position of the wounds (on the joint) the wounds are exposed easily as the spray rubs off. I live in south Spain and we are currently having high numbers of wasps which are eating at the wound and preventing healing. I have been in shops here trying to find a product to cover this area but have had little success. Does anyone have any advice for this type of injury?. Thankyou...

Swat is a cream you can put on it or you can get one of those citrinella bands to put around his ankle. Or a fly wrap...
