Question help for horses eyes

my 2 and a half year old dolly has yellow/greeny stuff in her eyes and they are really sticky I think it could be conjunctivitus I was going to get the vet out but with the call out fees I was told to use golden eye ointment even though its for humans it aparently works, does anyone have other suggestions or agree to this? Need help, they look sore

Who told you to use that ointment?
My suggestion is have the vet out - treating when you don't even know what you are treating is a crapshoot -- you *could* save the expenses of a vet call and it turns out fine, or you could find yourself with a problem that goes from bad to worse and face even higher expenses and possibly long-term damage/effects that could have been prevented.

I don't mess around with ANYTHING to do with the eyes. Call a vet.

Yeah, eyes require special care. You don't mess around with eyes. Goopy eyes and green suggests infection somewhere and is showing there. Ever have extra crusty eyes during a cold or illness? It is probably just a small symptom of something bigger she is fighting at the moment. Your vet could get you some meds to help her fight it, or you could just let her get better on her own.
