Help me pick a vaccination schedule

Ive never been offered a choice of vaccination schedules before so I would like input. My horse has been on a 2x pe year schedule but was not often coming into contact with new places or horses. Now that I have a trailer we will be going out and about more (assuming that the weather ever stops alternating between pourin rain and blistering heat).

Here are my choices. Money is not a concern. I will be going with the "clinical parasite control" (aka FEC) option for deworming so I wont list that. There are no farm call fees associated with the visits.

Most of the horses we come across will be boarded somewhere or another so the likelihood that they are also vaccinated is decent. I also worry about putting a lot of chems in his body. He is a healthy creature but I want him to stay that way without killing him trying to keep him safe.

6 times a year? I think your vet is working you.

I've only heard of vaccinations twice a year and the fall shots are mainly just the flu shot.

DA, is it a must so you can't use your own vet and schedule? I show and go with all shots in Spring and Rhino/Flu 6 months later. Why is it 2 visits in last one, but 3 in previous one? Half shots + half shots?

Why so many visits?
My vet comes and does all the shots and blood work (Coggins) in two visits plus the dental work. Some of the ones that are bi-annual or more depend on how high or low risk you are - area and/or how much you or other horses on your yard travel and what time of year you travel

I think they just bundle it that way to make it easier for people to decide what they want without having to put much thought into it. I'm actually currently in between vets now since the vet from my last barn wouldn't come to this one (I didn't like her much anyway) and this guy is the one my new place is using but I'm free to use whomever I like.

Val you're kind of near me I think. Who do you use? We're on the same email list for trail riders!
