Hi everyone! My horse is moving barns tomorrow and I somehow completely forgot about shipping boots. If tractor supply has them, I will buy them tomorrow, but I have a feeling they don't. The trip is an hour and a half. If I can't get boots, should I wrap? Can I use standing wraps and bell boots, or should the wrap extend over the coronet? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! Ideally shipping boots/wrap should extend over the coronet as you have said but bell boots will give similar protection. If you are concerned about injury, using polos will not give that much protection but you can absolutely use standing wraps and bell boots to provide almost as much protection as a shipping wrap (it will leave his pastern exposed but it's better than nothing in my opinion).
Ok, great! Thanks for your responses. I will feel much better now about using standing wraps and bell boots. Posted via Mobile Device
