The farrier said he didn't need shoes! We are only riding twice a week, and the owners (we don't own the horses, our neighbors do) don't think it is neccesary. Besides, for them it saves money
Grrrr.....some people. Yeah, I'll try to stress the fact that he could use shoes. They have ten horses, and only one has shoes - only to correct a problem with his front feet, so his hind feet didn't need shoes. Their mindset is basically "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", which drives me insane in many cases. I say, "Yeah, but if it would help, DO IT!"

. I guess I'll just wait until his feet look fine and he isn't limping or favoring feet - not that I don't appreciate the advice, it just isn't very positive or uplifting for me.

Oh, by the way, we don't have a baby-sitter for my little brothers', so we can't go on a trail ride anyways.
