Horse Coughing

My gelding has a coughing problem and the vet has come out and don't tests and says there is nothing wrong with him. I gave him Cool cough and it worked for half the day, but he does it when he is grazing, running, or rolling. Could he be allergic to something right now. The vet ruled out heaves, broncial infections, strangles, infection, and all that.. He gave me tucoprim and it worked for a month or two but its back.... puzzled...

You say he only coughs when he is rolling, grazing etc.... what kinda pasture do you have... If its kind of sandy then that could be it. He could simply just be getting sand into his throat and coughing it out.
Even though he is coughing does he still seem healthy coz it could just simply be a cough with no illness worrys. I would check your grass and see if its sprayed with anything though just to be on the safe side.
Good luck
