When my son broke his arm he didnt have any swolling intil the third day, it hurt but not real bad so I would go to the dr.If not and something is wrong you will have alot of problem with that hand, arthritis can even set in when you get older.when in doubt just go to the dr.

    Hey there,
As a person who injured there wrist at work (not with horses) I too heard something pop and did nto have that much swelling either. Please get this check by a doctor. The thing I would suggest doing if you MUST ride tomorrw is to put a splint on the wrist to keep it somewhat imobilized and do not life anything with the wrist.
Besides all the bones in a wrist there are a bunch of important structures in the wrist that can tear which is really not good. Please use Ice as much as you can and get a dotor to have an x ray done. It could be something simple or something not simple and you just do not know until you get it checked out...
PM me if you have anymore questions. I ended up having 4 surgeries on my left wrist and elbow from that work accident...a seeming small thing was not so small afer all. So just better to get it checked.
    Hang in there...
    Keep us posted....

    PS...
I forgot to ask if you had any burning or numbness and tingling in your hand or fingers??? If so I would go right to the ER

I had a doc. Look at it, and I have a twisted muscle but it should heal soon and though I am riding, I ride in a brace so i'm ok
